Clan History

To confirm that it was near death the great vessel broke through into normal space with lingering slowness. The pain of the usually swift translation was prolonged as well, until the thousand, for all their strength, cursed and wept within their minds and became convinced that they would be trapped. It would be the grey limbo endlessly.

But the Ship was doing its best. Sharing the agony of the passenger, it pushed and pried against the tough fabric of the superficies until there were flickers of black against the grey. The Ship and the people felt their anguish dim into a mere harmony of nearly musical vibrations that echoed, damped, and finally snapped off.

They hung in normal space, stars all around them.

The Ship had emerged on the shadow cone of a planet. For long moments, as the stunned travellers watched without knowing what they saw, the halo of pink atmosphere and the pearly wings of the eclipsed sun’s corona gave an aureole to the black world. Then the Ship's ominous momentum carried them on; the chromosphere and orange flames of the sun's limb burst forth, followed by its dazzling yellow substance.

The Ship curved in. the sunlit surface of the planet seemed to roll open beneath them at their approach. It was a blue world with white clouds and snowy mountains and landmasses of ochre and red and grey green- beyond doubt a world of compatible life. The Ship had succeeded.

2 years ago they had split off from the ShinRa, wanting to keep the mercenary way and preserve it instead of being the "good guys".

They left the battleship and colonized the planet in the system known as Scorpios 7. After living there for another 5 years, a massive attack by the nomads destroyed the planet.

The survivors now live on the battleship which brought them here. They have regular supply ships from the ShinRa base, and from the Omicron Systems.

One hero of the war with the nomads was Kaos. He was elected as their leader without a second thought. The Ship was renamed Kaos Fortress of Solitude, being the only base in the system; except for the ShinRa base over 100k away.

They will continue the battle the ShinRa couldnt, the fight against the nomads, for freedom and for revenge.

Clan Charter

The Black MerX are a purely mercenary clan and offshoots of the naval clan Shin Ra. When the Shin Ra gave up there mercenary role, many followed the warrior Kaos to maintain there mercenary group. We later decided to separate ourselves from the Shin Ra completely and become the Black MerX.

Keeping an alliance with the Shin Ra, we take contracts where we can. Constantly training, we pride ourselves in our piloting skills. In strike wings we are feared as the deadliest force in Sirius.

Contracts range from battle support, escort, blockades and more. Fees vary with contract and can be negotiated by contacting Demond or Kaos.

Ranks:
BattleMaster - Leader of the clan
Army Commander - Strategic command and training coordinator
Elite Warrior - Senior pilots, generally strike-wing leaders in combat
Spy (Obviously wont be listed as he/she is secret ;))
Warriors - Main pilots
Recruits - pilots in training

Ship designations:
Ship designations are at the descretion of our members. Every member must have a Clan LF, VHF, GB, and cargo ship. This leaves one character slot open for freelancing, roleplay or vault ships.

Every Clan Character must be in this context - MX_Duke_Clanship, where "Clanship" is your ship designation. Our members are very imaginative with there ship designations and may change them from time to time to confuse other players. A ship designation list must be submited in the clan forum by each member and updated regularly.

Rules Of Conduct:
1. If ordered to kill someone, you do it in a fighter, unless they are in a gunboat.
2. NO dockraping, undocking ships must be allowed to travel 2000k before fired upon. Does not apply if undocking ship fires on you out of dock
3. Be polite, if they kill you dont swap to a gunboat. Just carry on as you were.
4. Do not cuss ingame or on Vent. Cursing, racial remarks, sexual insults or anything else of the kind will not be tolorated from any of our recruits or members.
