Unnatural Wave originally started when two friends, The Rift 101 (now Xyro TR1) and Gemini87, got the idea to start their own online community. So basically, the original Unnatural Wave was just a phpBB forum, nothing else. It worked well, gathering a close group of friends together. Unfortunately, this was hosted on a free server with a small bandwidth restriction. When 127% of that bandwidth was used in one month, the service cancelled the account, deleting everything. After that, the creators said screw it. Until recently, Unnatural Wave has been just a memory. It was started up again when Xyro was asked to help do some work on another site, Splunge79.com (which is on the links page). Working on that website and forum gave Xyro the inspiration to start the Wave once more, and to do more than before. Now, Unnatural Wave features more than just a message board. It has loads of content, such as Flash games, downloads, useful links, fun programs, multimedia, and more. |
